You could probably configure the system to automatically start up whatever UI you prefer to make it more seamless. I would recommend the same as other commenters: to just use a normal distribution and put something like Kodi on it. Is there something like "network attached monitor" We were unable to migrate the (large) database backing the site onto the Pi 3 as it didnt have enough RAM to perform properly, the Raspberry Pi database is much larger than a typical Wordpress blog.
